Terms of Use

1. General Provisions

Thank you for using SaveEcoBot.

1.1. SaveEcoBot is an online service that informs users about environmental protection tools and also allows monitoring information about pollution and polluters.
SaveEcoBot is available on the following platforms: the website https://www.saveecobot.com; chatbots on Telegram, Viber, and Facebook Messenger.
Please note that due to certain technical peculiarities of software on different platforms, SaveEcoBot functionality may differ and may operate with certain differences or limitations.

1.2. Access to SaveEcoBot is provided by the non-governmental organization “Save Dnipro”:

registered address: 17 Teplychna St., Slobozhanske, Dnipro District, Dnipropetrovsk Region, 52005, Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as SaveDnipro).

1.3. By using SaveEcoBot, the User unconditionally accepts these Terms in full.
User or You means any individual, sole proprietor, or legal entity using SaveEcoBot.
Use means any actions of the User aimed at obtaining access to SaveEcoBot, using it for its intended purpose, or interacting with it programmatically through the Application Programming Interface (API).

1.4. By accepting these Terms, the User undertakes to use SaveEcoBot in a manner and for purposes that do not contradict these Terms, the functional purpose of SaveEcoBot, or applicable law.
From the moment of using SaveEcoBot, the User personally bears responsibility for all actions performed in SaveEcoBot.
These Terms are the same for all Users. If the User does not agree to these Terms, they must stop using SaveEcoBot.

2. SaveEcoBot Functional Capabilities

2.1. Through SaveEcoBot, you can easily find and organize:

• air quality information;
• radiation background information;
• fire information;
• meteorological data;
• information about the number and types of war crimes;
• information from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs, and Public Associations;
• information about business entities with tax debt;
• information on environmental tax payments made by natural monopolies and business entities that pay rent for subsoil use;
• data on permits for emissions of pollutants into ambient air from stationary sources of polluting enterprises of groups 1, 2, and 3;
• data on special permits for subsoil use;
• data on special water use permits;
• data on licenses for hazardous waste management;
• data on licenses for production of especially hazardous chemical substances;
• data on waste declarations;
• data on state supervision (control) measures;
• and/or monitor the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Register, which reflects the stages of the environmental assessment procedure for planned business activities.

2.2. SaveEcoBot also provides the ability to:

• view data or subscribe to updates for a region of Ukraine, a specific legal entity, individual entrepreneur, or updates in the relevant register;
• report environmental war crimes;
• participate in public consultation procedures within the EIA process through templates for public comments and proposals;
• participate in public consultation procedures within the process of obtaining or renewing emission permits through templates for public comments and proposals;
• submit complaints regarding environmental, sanitary, and certain other violations to supervisory authorities and/or local self-government bodies.

2.3. The listed functional capabilities of SaveEcoBot are not exhaustive and may be changed. All decisions regarding changes to functionality are made by SaveDnipro.

3. Use of SaveEcoBot

3.1. Access to SaveEcoBot and its use are provided free of charge.

3.2. To use SaveEcoBot, your device must have Internet access and the relevant software installed (Telegram, Viber, Facebook Messenger, or a web browser of a compatible version).

3.3. SaveEcoBot provides free access to a limited number of subscriptions, namely:

• 5 region subscriptions;
• 5 regional EIA subscriptions;
• 5 regional permit subscriptions;
• 10 enterprise subscriptions;
• 10 enterprise subscriptions from the Unified State Register;
• 10 sole proprietor subscriptions;
• 20 permit subscriptions;
• 20 EIA register entry subscriptions;
• 10 air quality monitoring station subscriptions (hourly notifications);
• 10 air quality monitoring station subscriptions (exceedance notifications).

Such limits are caused by the need to normalize server load and prevent hacking attacks.

3.4. SaveEcoBot operates on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

3.5. Information and data processed by SaveEcoBot are provided by third parties through integration interfaces. Some registers are updated once a month or once a quarter, so certain data may be outdated. Therefore, please note that information obtained through SaveEcoBot is current only as of the date of the latest update in SaveEcoBot, and not as of the date of your request.

4. Permission to Use (License)

4.1. All intellectual property rights to SaveEcoBot and its symbols are protected. The User is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited right to use SaveEcoBot for its intended purpose, including storing, viewing, and displaying copies of the available SaveEcoBot content on the User’s own devices for personal non-commercial purposes with attribution to SaveEcoBot.

4.2. The User is prohibited from:

• accessing SaveEcoBot using third-party means not provided for by the technical characteristics of SaveEcoBot, except where expressly permitted by these Terms;
• obtaining any data from SaveEcoBot through unlawful and/or unauthorized interference with its operation;
• modifying, reverse engineering, decoding, decompiling, or creating derivative works based on SaveEcoBot or any part of it; displaying (in whole or in part) data obtained through SaveEcoBot in a public presentation or display without attribution to SaveEcoBot;
• using SaveEcoBot symbols and data obtained through this service in third-party projects without SaveDnipro’s permission;
• circumventing any technology used to protect SaveEcoBot and the information processed in it, as well as carrying out mass, blanket, or systematic collection of data from SaveEcoBot for further use without SaveDnipro’s permission, except where expressly permitted by these Terms.

4.3. SaveEcoBot and/or its parts may contain intellectual property objects of third parties that are licensed separately or whose terms of use are established by their rights holders. You acknowledge that, in addition to these Terms, terms of use of third-party services may apply to you. You agree to comply with the terms of use of such third-party services when interacting with SaveEcoBot.

4.4. If you violate these Terms, your license will be revoked and your access to SaveEcoBot will be blocked immediately.

4.5. Certain SaveEcoBot pages may contain technically provided links to data in JSON format, including in the “Data in JSON format” blocks on pages of stations, cities, districts, or other public pages. The use of such URLs is allowed for personal, local, or limited automated access, for example: to view data of one station, several specifically selected stations, one locality, for home automation, local use within a condominium association, an internal dashboard, one-time analysis, or another integration that does not result in mass copying of SaveEcoBot data.

Such use is not considered a violation of clause 4.2 of these Terms if the User:

• uses only those JSON URLs that are explicitly published by SaveEcoBot for the relevant page;
• does not circumvent technical limitations and does not attempt to obtain hidden, internal, or unpublished data;
• does not create substantial or excessive load on SaveEcoBot infrastructure;
• does not carry out blanket, mass, or systematic collection of data for the purpose of copying a substantial part of the SaveEcoBot database, building a mirror of the service, republishing a substantial part of the content, or creating a competing or duplicating service without SaveDnipro’s prior written approval.

5. Use of the SaveEcoBot API

This section is special with regard to the use of the SaveEcoBot API, as well as other machine-readable ways of accessing data that are directly available through SaveEcoBot, including through the API and JSON URLs. In the event of any inconsistency between the general restrictions of clause 4.2 and the rules of this Section 5, the rules of Section 5 shall prevail.

5.1. The User is prohibited from developing public systems that duplicate any SaveEcoBot functionality (maps, analytics, pages of localities or regions, alerting chatbots, etc.) without prior approval from SaveDnipro. If you plan to do this, you must independently collect all data from the original sources and maintain your own system and servers.

5.2. If you plan to build any alerting system for personal needs or for a certain circle of persons using data from SaveEcoBot, then in every place where you use our data you must state that “Data were obtained from the SaveEcoBot system” and add an active link to SaveEcoBot.
You must also indicate:

• the name of the source platform for each monitoring station, which is a mandatory condition when collecting data from such sources (the platform_name field from the API);
• the description of the device making the measurements, or the description of the project under which the monitoring station was installed (the notes field from the API).

5.3. Warning regarding notifications about “exceedance” or “increase” of radiation background.
All data are published on the SaveEcoBot map and in the API without verification. However, these data require additional verification by public authorities before decisions are made. Therefore, if indicators increase at any station on the map, they cannot be the sole and reliable source of information about radiation levels. For this reason, we do not recommend publishing notifications such as “panic, radiation has spiked.”
It is important to remember that only public authorities have the right to announce accidents or emergency situations. Official sources such as the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate, the State Emergency Service, and national and local authorities must communicate all subsequent civil protection measures.
Therefore, one should not react to a change in readings if they simply jumped and then fell again, or even remained elevated. Some devices work this way and have technical limitations at low concentrations.
For general understanding and trend analysis, any readings may be useful. However, you must remember the following: if readings increase on a device, you need to study not only that one device but also neighboring ones that have readings for the same period; you also need to study meteorological indicators for each location, such as solar radiation, temperature, humidity, precipitation, etc. Only then should any conclusions be made.
These are the basic things that must be done before notifying about an “exceedance of radiation background”.

5.4. To obtain access to the API, please fill in the form, the link to which is located on the page https://www.saveecobot.com/static/api.

5.5. The rules for using the API may be updated and changed by us unilaterally. The current version of these Terms is available at: https://www.saveecobot.com/static/terms. Additional information about ways of accessing SaveEcoBot data and separate APIs is available at: https://www.saveecobot.com/static/api.

5.6. Special terms of use defined on the page https://www.saveecobot.com/static/savednipro-data apply to the data of monitoring stations of the NGO “SaveDnipro” published on that page. In case of any inconsistency between those terms and the general rules for using the API or other automated access to SaveEcoBot data, the special terms of the page https://www.saveecobot.com/static/savednipro-data shall apply to that dataset.

6. Liability and Limitation of Liability

6.1. The User is solely responsible for the accuracy of the information provided and for interaction with SaveEcoBot.

6.2. SaveDnipro shall not be liable:

• for your decisions made on the basis of data obtained from SaveEcoBot;
• for third-party websites and/or online services to which SaveEcoBot refers or with which it interacts. Such services are outside our control and competence;
• for the timeliness of information updates and the quality of data provided by third parties through SaveEcoBot functionality;
• for any direct or indirect damages, including lost profits, arising from the use or inability to use SaveEcoBot.

7. Other Terms

7.1. Minor users may use SaveEcoBot and accept these Terms only with the permission of their parents or official guardian.

7.2. These Terms take effect from the moment of the first access to SaveEcoBot or the beginning of its use and apply throughout the entire period of the User’s use of SaveEcoBot, including through the website, chatbots, API, and other SaveEcoBot services.

7.3. SaveDnipro may amend these Terms unilaterally. Continued use of the website, chatbots, API, JSON URLs, and other SaveEcoBot services after such amendments take effect means the User agrees to the updated Terms. If the User does not agree with the changes, they must stop using SaveEcoBot.
